Animals and Nature – mean pure adventure! And exactly this is what our old and young guests experience every single day of their holiday on our children’s farm Kniegut in the Salzburg region! Our animals love to be petted and pampered, and therefore you can already look forward to many horses, cows, alpacas, cats, rabbits, hens, goats and sheep.
Horses at Kniegut
You can ride our horses free of charge every day except for Sundays at our farm’s own riding ground, and make friends with our Noriker horses Ella, Arena and Mara, our warmblood horse Escamillo and our Icelandic mix ponies. As you can imagine, there is plenty to be done at Kniegut other than riding – and therefore you are also very welcome to help with grooming, mucking out, feeding and saddling!
Cows in the cowshed ...
... Moo! There are 8 cows in our shed and, depending on the "joys of motherhood" usually also several calves which you are sure to get to know during your farm holiday in the Hochkönig area. How about a glass of freshly-milked milk? Of course, you are welcome to help with the stable work or join us when the cows are brought in from the pastures!
